MUSIC & BRAIN
My collaboration with the NSF IUCRC BRAIN Center at the University of Houston is called Music and Brain. It aims to unravel the complex neurobiology of music and dance performance through the use of mobile electroencephalography (EEG). Our latest collaboration, “Meeting of Minds,” is a piece for live and pre-recorded string quartet and two dancers with music by Anthony Brandt and choreography by Andy and Dionne Noble. For this piece, I designed the brain-computer interface and multimedia projections. It will be performed at the United Nations “AI for Good” Summit in Geneva this May for 2,000 attendees and worldwide livestream.
